At GDC Pathology Department, our Histopathology services provide critical diagnostic support for a wide range of conditions, including cancers, inflammatory diseases, and infections. Our Histopathology Testing Services

Routine histopathology and coagulation testing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, advanced hematological tests are a performed using a variety of techniques including flow cytometry and electrophoresis based methods and are available from Monday to Sunday, 8 am – 12 pm.

1 Biopsy Examination

Our biopsy services involve the examination of tissue samples obtained through various procedures, such as fine-needle aspiration or surgical biopsy. This process is essential for diagnosing cancers and assessing the spread and stage of tumors.

2 Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

Immunohistochemistry is used to detect specific proteins within cells, aiding in the identification and classification of tumor types. IHC is particularly valuable in diagnosing cancers and planning targeted therapies.

3 Cytology Services

We provide cytology services, including Pap smears and fluid cytology, to examine individual cells for abnormalities, offering early detection of cancers and infections.

4 Special Stains

Our lab utilizes special staining techniques to highlight specific cellular components, helping identify infections, fibrosis, and other conditions that may not be visible with standard staining methods.

5 Frozen Section Analysis

For intraoperative consultations, we offer frozen section analysis, a rapid biopsy technique used during surgeries to provide immediate diagnostic information to guide surgical decisions.
